My wife and I took our 4 grandchildren (Ages 2 -7) to the the movie this evening. My boys and I have always been big Star Wars fans and my wife has tolerated our love of the movies and the books. All four grandchildren loved the movie, I was suprised how much I enjoyed it and my wife proclaimed it a good movie. It had lots of action and a pretty good story. I found myself laughing at the interaction between Anakin Skywalker and his new padawan learner and I was able to enjoy the movie even though it was made in a comic book style. If your a Star Wars fan I say don't miss it.

This looks refreshingly new and interesting for a Star Wars fan like myself. I love the films (watched each too many times to count) and the Expanded Universe and I hope this film, as well as the series, can bring the Clone Wars to life. I disagree with those of you that feel it should be a live action film simply because I don't think all of the same actors could be persuaded to do the Clone Wars now that they've finished with Revenge of the Sith. So if the actors aren't the same the film/show really wouldn't be. It also opens Lucasarts to new possibilities and I think the unique graphics that are being presented can carry this new vision to a successful debut on the big screen as well as at home. To put it simply, keep your mind open and get ready to be amazed by this new innovative direction Star Wars is taking.

Personally, I am an insane fan of Star Wars, and love basically everything George Lucas has his hand in. Going to this movie I expected a lot, and didn't get everything...I set the goal to high and still greatly enjoyed the movie. My 7 year old brother, who is also an insane fan, liked this better then the live action saga.. Bottom line-It's Star Wars. It has all the amazing action it's always had, lightsaber duels, huge battles, etc. The only thing it lacked was a more serious tone as the saga does, so to me it was like watching a cartoon...a really good one none-the-less. Just go into it thinking what it is, a cartoon. Great animation, action, sound effects, music was weird at points, but also I thought it had better (then original serious) music at times. You totally should go, and take some kids that like Star Wars, it will make you even happier knowing that they're happy too :)

The movie is geared more towards the younger crowd but as a Star Wars fan and father of a seven year old we both enjoyed this start to the animated series. There is much more action and less story telling but the graphics are very good. If you have kids take them to the theatre, if you're an older fan wait for DVD.

I'm not a die hard Star Wars fan. I married into the culture. SO when in Rome :) I thought it was good. As we walked out though I heard sounds of disappointment from the older fans. This movie was to hook a whole new group of kids to the life that is Star Wars. . So this is my review... Seeing anything on the big screen is fun. Kids who love Star Wars as mine do will love this.F.Y.I. boy and girl 10 and 13. If you are a fan who has read all the books and comics and really took the time to "study" Star Wars, you may walk out lacking something. My children did see the differences in the clone wars cartoons on dvd from this movie. I say see it but go to the early show and save a few bucks you might be ticked to spend $9 bucks on this one. FOR PARENTS Clone Wars is about the war and if your child is sensitive to that be aware no blood but a lot of clones get taken out.
